The board consists of seven members. Five members are appointed by the Mayor and must be residents of the City. One member is the Urban Forester and one member is appointed by the Common Council, and must be a resident of Noblesville. The purpose of the Tree Board is to assist the Urban Forester in educating the residents of Noblesville about the importance of having healthy and strong urban forests. The Tree Board also consults with the Urban Forester on matters concerning the Noblesville street tree ordinance and its enforcement by the Board of Public Works and Safety.
