Police Cadet Program
The purpose of the Police Cadet Program is to provide experiences to help our community's youth mature and to prepare them to become responsible, caring adults. The Noblesville Police Department (NPD) is proud to have been an active facilitator of this program since the 1980's. The program is administered by police officers who serve as counselors, mentors, and leaders as well as providing instruction on the five areas of emphasis that include career opportunities, life skills, citizenship, character education, and leadership experience. The Police Cadet Program provides a supportive, caring, and enjoyable environment for today's youth who are tomorrow's leaders. The NPD takes it's commitment to this program, and other programs directed at youth involvement and development very seriously and the officers strive to be role models and mentors for participants. Those that are involved with the program will gain practical knowledge of and experience in law enforcement.
The program accepts participants who are 14 years of age and have completed the 8th grade or any students 15 to 19 years old. If you are interested in participating in the Police Cadet Program, or simply would like to learn more about the program please contact the Program Coordinator, Sergeant Andrew Reiss, at [email protected].
