November 17, 2014....The City of Noblesville, Noblesville Main Street, the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, and Hamilton County are finalizing plans for the upcoming holiday activities and would like to invite the public to attend. The season will kick off on Friday, November 28 at 7pm with the annual Lighting Ceremony, sponsored by the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce. This event, held at the Hamilton County Judicial Center, is always a hit with families and includes special holiday music, a reading of The Night Before Christmas by Mayor John Ditslear, and of course, the lighting of the beautiful downtown lights. In conjunction with the Lighting Ceremony, Noblesville Main Street will debut the 2014 Ice Festival that same evening.

The holiday festivities will then continue on Sunday, November 30 at 2pm with the annual Christmas parade. This year, Jim Wafford will be leading the parade as the 2014 Grand Marshal. As always, the holiday parade will mark the debut of Santa Claus to Noblesville for the season! Boys and girls are invited to stop by Santa’s house on the courthouse square after the parade or during the hours listed below and tell him what they would like for Christmas. There is no charge to visit with Santa and parents are welcome to bring their own camera.

The fun then continues on Friday, December 5 from 5pm – 8pm at the First Friday event, sponsored by Noblesville Main Street. The downtown shops and restaurants will be featuring special sales, Santa Claus will be in his house, and other fun events will be taking place.
