November 19, 2014.....The 17th annual Shop With a Cop program, led by the Noblesville Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #198, is continuing fundraising efforts for this year’s event. This program provides underprivileged children in Noblesville and Noblesville Township with warm clothing to help them get through the winter months. Because the event is held on the first Saturday of each December, each child is given the opportunity to select a toy as well. The children selected to participate in the program go shopping with their parent/guardian as well as a uniformed Noblesville police officer. For the past several years, the Noblesville event has taken place at the Meijer store on Mercantile Boulevard and Meijer will be hosting again this year on Saturday, December 6th. This year, over 70 children will be participating in the program.

Any individuals or businesses that have questions about this program or would like more information are asked to contact Lt. Jon Williams, the event coordinator and Lodge Treasurer, at (317) 770-5754 or [email protected] or Detective Michael Sadler, Lodge President, at (317) 776-6371 or [email protected]. Those who would like to donate are asked to make checks payable to “NFOP Lodge #198” and write “Shop With a Cop” in the check’s memo line. Checks should be mailed to: Shop With A Cop; Noblesville FOP 198; P.O. Box 2013; Noblesville, IN 46061-2013. Please note that donations to this program are tax deductible as a charitable contribution and 100% of the money raised goes toward supporting this program.
